About Junior Chamber Kuala Lumpur

The idea on the formation of Junior Chamber KL Mandarin was formed in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Datuk Yeat was invited there to be a participant of the Junior Chamber Asia Pacific Area Conference, the ASPAC 2000.

Back in Malaysia, Datuk Yeat gather around his trusted friends, namely JC Aric Ng & JC Eric Chong to lay the foundation for the setting up of the first Mandarin Chapter in Malaysia.

At the turn of the millennium, the Junior Chamber KL Mandarin was formed. The formal installation was held at the Istana Hotel in KL on the 17th February 2001. Although new, it was reputed to have the largest gathering of participants in the Chapter's history in Malaysia.

The TOYM program of Junior Chamber International Malaysia serves to recognize up to ten individuals aged from 18 years to 40 years of age exemplify the best attributes of their country's best individual.

Junior Chamber International Malaysia will honor The Outstanding Young Malaysian in an Award Ceremony which will be held on the 18th December 2007 (Tuesday), at Berjaya Time Square Resorts Hotel, Manhattan Ballroom, West Tower, Level 13A, Kuala Lumpur.
